Nobody ever told me. Or, maybe I just didn’t notice. But I had no idea that being in my eighties would be so different from being in my seventies. Back then, I wrote several books, drove at night, napped only once a day, and could go on more than one “outing” on any given day. Back then, I was very fast at finding friends’ forgotten words, fast at tooth brushing, fast at…well, everything, except making decisions and eating. Back then, I cared if my hair was a mess, my jeans too tight, my stomach too pouchy.
But now. How different now is. I will write more about it. Soon. Later.
Are you in your 80’s and have you found what I am saying to be true for you? Let’s talk about it.
